Read more about new feature/functionality in each release of Bocada Cloud

Bocada Cloud releases new feature/functionally to the Production environment every four weeks after development, testing and validation is complete.

November 18, 2024

  • Automated Detection of Veeam Backup & Replication Configuration Settings: A new auto-discovery feature will make the process of connecting Bocada Cloud to Veeam Backup & Replication systems faster and easier. When the Bocada Cloud data collection agent is installed on the same machine as the Veeam Backup & Replication application, users will be able to auto-populate the configuration fields with a click of a button.
  • Configurable chart & graph widgets on Dashboards: Users can now change the time period for the Backup Success / Failure pie chart and bar graph widgets that display on Dashboards. For example, a user can change the bar chart to show 10 days of data instead of 7 days by default. To access this feature, click the Gear icon at the top right of the Main Dashboard. Users can make a single change to all Dashboards or change one individual Dashboard at a time; they can also easily revert back to default settings.
  • Various enhancements were made and issues resolved in the following areas:
    • Bocada Cloud Data Collection Agent is now compatible with PostgreSQL databases using Windows Authentication
    • Fixed issue of missing Organization names in the Executive Summary & Job Trends reports
    • Improved the integration of Bocada Cloud with the Azure Marketplace to pay for a Bocada Cloud subscription
    • Addressed the disconnect between the number of backup failures displaying in the Backup Failures & Job Trends reports
    • Fixed issue of not being able to "hard delete" a new Connection

  • AI-enabled Potential Missed Backups Report: Bocada Cloud released a new report in beta that uses AI to identify potential "missed" backups (backup jobs that didn't run when they should have) based on collected backup history and other factors. Users can adjust the AI model's probability percentage up or down to view more (or fewer) possible missed backups, as well as enter feedback about the accuracy to help the model learn over time.
  • Configurable Dashboards: Users can now edit the layout of a Dashboard to drag and drop dashboard widgets into any position, and then save those changes to one or all dashboards. Click the Gear icon on the top right of any Dashboard to open the "Edit" mode and click on the widget's header to drag and drop it into a new position. Users can also revert to the default Dashboard layout as well.
  • UI-UX and Performance improvements: Enhancements were made throughout the product's UI to improve usability. Additionally, performance improvements were implemented to the HaloPSA ticketing integration, as well as the Acronis Cyber Protect, Cove and Veeam Backup & Replication connectors.

  • Automation to speed the process of connecting to Veeam Backup & Replication: a new PowerShell script will help customers automate the process of creating a new PostgreSQL user to connect Bocada Cloud to Veeam Backup & Replication on a PostgreSQL database. Learn more here.
  • Endpoint data collection and monitoring for Veeam connectors: Bocada Cloud now monitors endpoint data collected from Veeam Backup & Replication and Veeam Service Provider Console. This is in addition to collecting endpoint data from Veeam Backup M365.  Bocada charges 1/10th of the cost to monitor an endpoint (e.g. laptops or mobile devices) vs. monitoring a resource (e.g. a server or virtual machine). • Automatic mapping of multi-tenant data to Bocada Cloud organizations: users who connect Bocada Cloud to Veeam Service Provider Console (VSPC) or Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud can collect multi-tenant data from those systems with a single connection. Bocada Cloud will automatically map the data from each tenant to a corresponding Organization in the Bocada Cloud UI. This way, each tenant's data is automatically segmented in reports and dashboards by Organization giving MSPs the ability to isolate, manage, and deliver data to their customers.
  • UI-UX improvements: additional usability enhancements were made to the Dashboard, Your Subscription page (for users with a Billing Owner role) and the Edit Connection page.
  • SOC II Compliance: Bocada is in the process of acquiring SOC II Compliance certification and made multiple backend infrastructure improvements to data security and privacy.
