What is a “resource” in Bocada Cloud?

A resource is what is being backed up – it could be a server, hard drive, virtual machine, individual computer or other data source. It is synonymous with what Bocada Enterprise has historically called a “unit” as a term to refer to the data source that is being backed up by a third-party application such as AWS, Azure, Veeam, etc. Bocada Cloud enables you to monitor and report on the quality of your resource backups across different backup applications to help ensure they are protected and secure.

For more details about resource definitions by backup application please see the Resource Definition Document here: https://www.bocada.com/bocada-resource-definition
