Can I stop getting email notifications?

Yes. There are a variety of different types of email notifications with different ways to disable them. See below to learn more about each one.

Backup Activity Summary

By default, Bocada sends out a daily Backup Activity Summary email message to all users that looks like this: 
If you want to alter the frequency, or no longer want to receive these emails, log into Bocada Cloud and navigate to your profile on the top right of the screen (blue circle with your initials). 

Select User Settings and click the "Backup Activity Notification Email" tab. You can alter the frequency of how often the email is sent, change the time and/or time zone, or disable it completely. 

Custom Email Notifications

You, or someone else in your organization, can set up automated email notifications to alert you when a backup job or data collection fails. The emails look like this:

If you created the email notification, log into Bocada Cloud and navigate to Administration on the left navigation menu, and then select Custom Email Notifications. You will see a list of notifications that have been created. You can edit them (click the pencil icon) or delete them (click the trash can icon). If someone else in your organization created the email notification and included your email address as a recipient, contact them to be removed.

Reports Distributed by Email

You, or someone else in your organization, can set up automated emails to distribute an attached Bocada Cloud report. The emails will look something like this:

If you created the distribution of the report, log into Bocada Cloud and navigate to Reports on the left navigation menu, and then select Report Library. In the "Created By You" section in the top center of the screen, you will see a list of custom saved reports you created. The ones that are currently set up to be automatically distributed via email will have a green paper airplane icon like this:

You can edit the distribution settings or disable it by clicking the paper airplane icon. If someone else in your organization created the distribution of a report and included your email address as a recipient, contact them to be removed.

Product announcements

Bocada sends out a product announcement email to all users when new feature/functionality is released, or there is important information about the product all users should know. If you no longer want to receive product announcement emails, log into Bocada Cloud and navigate to your profile on the top right of the screen (blue circle with your initials). 

Select User Settings and click the "Product Announcement Emails" tab. Click the "enabled" toggle to off so that it is disabled. 

Bocada Cloud email messages about your account or subscription

Bocada sends automated email messages during the account sign-up and creation process, during the free trial period, or about your subscription and/or payment. These are not marketing messages, but important messages about your Bocada Cloud account. At this time, there is not a way to opt-out of these messages automatically; however, you can create a Support ticket or Contact Us to notify us that you no longer want to receive email about your Bocada Cloud account. 

Bocada newsletters, press releases and/or other marketing emails

Bocada periodically sends out newsletters, product or company-related press releases or other marketing messages. There is an opt-out link at the bottom of these emails to no longer receive them.
