There are a variety of different types of email messages sent by Bocada Cloud. Learn more about each one and how to manage them.
Backup Activity Summary
By default, Bocada sends out a daily Backup Activity Summary email message to all users that looks like this:
If you want to alter the frequency, or no longer want to receive these emails, log into Bocada Cloud and navigate to your profile on the top right of the screen (blue circle with your initials).
Select User Settings and click the "Backup Activity Notification Email" tab. You can alter the frequency of how often the email is sent, change the time and/or time zone, enable additional details (like seeing more data about each backup job and failure messages), or disable it completely.
Custom Email Notifications
You can set up automated email notifications to alert you when a backup job or data collection fails. The emails look like this (note: the screen shot is a template without data):
If you created the email notification, log into Bocada Cloud and navigate to Administration on the left navigation menu, and then select Custom Email Notifications. You will see a list of notifications that have been created. You can edit them (click the pencil icon) or delete them (click the trash can icon).
Reports Distributed by Email
You can set up automated distribution of a Bocada Cloud report as an attachment to an email message. The emails will look something like this:
If you created the distribution of the report, log into Bocada Cloud and navigate to Reports on the left navigation menu, and then select Report Library. In the "Created By You" section in the top center of the screen, you will see a list of custom saved reports you created. The ones that are currently set up to be automatically distributed via email will have a green paper airplane icon like this:
You can edit the distribution settings or disable it by clicking the paper airplane icon. If someone else in your organization created the distribution of a report and included your email address as a recipient, contact them to be removed.
Product announcements
Bocada sends out a product announcement email to all users when new feature/functionality is released, or there is important information about the product all users should know. If you no longer want to receive product announcement emails, log into Bocada Cloud and navigate to your profile on the top right of the screen (blue circle with your initials).
Select User Settings and click the "Product Announcement Emails" tab. Click the "enabled" toggle to off so that it is disabled.
