Bocada Cloud's API Keys feature (under Administration) enables you to create and manage API keys that can be used to securely transfer Organization, Connection, Resource and Backup job data into other applications in your environment. This feature is only available to subscribers to the Ultimate plan.

Recommendations

  • Issue one API key per integration.

  • Keep the scope as small as possible for optimal performance.

  • Rotate or revoke API keys when ownership changes.

API Secret

Copy the API secret when it is revealed in the dialog box. The full key value is shown only once when you create or rotate a key. Store it before you close the dialog.

Note: Avoid reusing secrets. Give each API key you create its own unique secret so you can rotate or revoke one secret without interrupting other workflows.

API Scope

Trim scopes before you share a key. New keys start with every available scope selected so you can move forward quickly. Remove or uncheck any scope the integration does not need.
