Learn what's required to connect Bocada Cloud to one of your backup systems during the initial activation call
Our team will help you register for Bocada Cloud and connect to one of your backup systems during the activation call so you can start collecting data for data protection monitoring and reporting. To ensure that call goes smoothly, have the following items prepared ahead of the scheduled meeting:
- Access to and login credentials for at least one backup system (server/VM) you want to connect to
- Access to the settings of the backup application(s) you use
- If you are using an installed/on-premises backup application (such as Veeam):
- Confirm that you have permissions to install the Bocada Cloud Data Collection Agent in the same network as the backup system
- Confirm that the backup system (server/VM) is using either Windows Server 2016 or later, or the latest version of Linux
- Confirm that the backup system (server/VM) can allow outbound connections from backup-api.cloud.bocada.com over port 443
You will be able to register for Bocada Cloud either via the Azure Marketplace or through a direct web link provided by our team. If you would like to register using your Azure account, have your Azure account credentials ready.
Note: If you aren't ready to connect your backup systems to Bocada Cloud during the scheduled activation call, reply to the meeting invite and let the team know to either conduct a product demo instead, or reschedule the activation call to a future date.
